Joy Mayer was a 2010-2011 Reynolds Fellow at the Missouri School of Journalism where she studied community engagement in journalism in a project she called “Ditch the Lecture. Join the Conversation: Reconceiving the role of journalists in a participatory culture.” She is an associate professor at the Missouri School of Journalism and an editor at the Columbia Missourian.
