Bennet Goldstein is a general assignment and features reporter based in the cornfields and 19th-century saw mills of northeastern Iowa at the Dubuque Telegraph Herald. His work has garnered statewide recognitions, including the Harrison “Skip” Weber Investigative Reporting and Associated Press Media Editors awards for an explanatory feature about a police shooting in rural Wisconsin along with an Iowa Newspaper Association award for a series that detailed the impacts of the loss of social safety-net programs on Dubuque’s Marshallese community. He studied psychology, gender studies and history at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
