David Tarrant is a nationally recognized reporter on the enterprise team atThe Dallas Morning News. A series called “Injured Heroes, Broken Promises, which exposed the mistreatment of wounded soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, won two national Edward R. Murrow awards and the Sigma Delta Chi Award. “Private Battles,” a series about the struggles of military families, won the national Dart award at Columbia University. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a graduate of Holy Cross College, he lives in Arlington, Texas, with his wife, Sharon, two children and Annie, who’s a good doggy.
