Polly Basore Wenzl first embraced narrative journalism in 1999, acting as editor of her now-husband Roy Wenzl’s groundbreaking work for The Wichita Eagle. She left in 2003, doing writing-focused work in nonprofit and education sectors before returning to local news as editor of the non-profit startup The Wichita Beacon last year. She is the author of “Apocalyptic Polly: A Pandemic Memoir.”
