Today the Online News Association wraps up its 2009 Conference in San Francisco. Thursday’s pre-conference video workshops from The Washington Post’s Chet Rhodes and Ford Fellow Richard Koci Hernandez sound particularly exciting, with sessions addressing when to use video (and when not to) and how to plan a video story. Those of us unable to make it this year can attend vicariously by visiting the conference site or following @ONA09 on Twitter.
ONA’s fabulous Interactive Narratives site hosts any number of intriguing multimedia projects—including some that we’ll be featuring in the coming weeks. If you’ve never checked it out, you should pay a visit.
And those of you inclined to more cerebral discussions on narrative that go beyond its possibilities as a journalistic tool, Ohio State University’s Project Narrative is also hosting a conference on Narrative, Science, and Performance this weekend.
