Editor's note: This month, we bring you brief reminders from pros around the world about what or who helped them forward in their careers.
I’m thankful for my friend Andreea, a brilliant sports journalist in Bucharest, who’s been my advisor and sounding board on all writing-related anxieties since high school. We’ve shared everything from diary pages, blog posts and rough drafts, to untested ideas and annoyances about work. I’ve always appreciated how we never compete with one another and celebrate each other’s accomplishments.
I’m also thankful for a newsroom full of great minds, supportive colleagues and an editor who always challenges me to go deeper and step out of my comfort zone.
And for oTranscribe, the program I use to transcribe my interviews, that saves me time and tears.
