I’m grateful for a hypnotherapist in my town who runs a radio ad campaign in which she tells listeners, “The answer is within you.” I listen to local radio a lot, and that phrase has burrowed into my mind as a mantra that makes me giggle. Often when I’m stuck on a project, whether it’s in the pitching or the reporting or the writing stage, those words will come to me, in the practitioner’s voice, just like she says them on the radio, and I’ll giggle and the whole thing suddenly won’t feel so tangled and dire.Alla Katsnelson ~ freelance science editor and writer
